BELOIT SKY CARP

The New Beloit Is Here

When the Beloit Snappers, the Marlins’ High-A affiliate team was saved from elimination. It was clear something needed to be changed. An upgraded ball park was needed and so the ABC stadium was built, then it was time for a team rebrand. Cue, Beloit SkyCarp – coming from the slang term in the midwest for a goose that doesn’t migrate in the winter. There are a lot of them, so they are considered “carp of the sky” like carp in the river. Just like the geese don’t want to leave their hometown, the residents of Beloit, Wisconsin feel the same in building a city and team that they don’t want to leave.

To announce the team, Beloit team wanted a series of video content that not only unveiled the new name, but also did it with some moxie. The result was a hero film and accompanying vignettes that give us the insight the new team deserves.
